Tom and Hannah

This is a photo of our neighbor and his daughter taken on New Years Day 2005. Hannah was born after we bought our house in Pennsylvania. Tom started off as a contractor rebuilding our house and became a good friend. We look forward to visiting with them whenever we are in Pennsylvania. I really like black and white photos from December through February. It is a time where the world is basically black and white and the shadows and textures take over.

Rainy View of Bridge Over French Creek

We were caching near Cambridge Springs and went for a friend's cache at this bridge. The bridge was built in 1893 and is one of the few remaining iron bridges. Its future is about as bright as the day's weather. Yet, it is a great looking bridge and made a nice subject for black and white. I had no intentions of making two photos of this subject, but the shot with the rain caught me while the view from the other end as Ali walks away shows off the iron-work on the bridge in its present gloomy state.
